Although the development of MVIIA block did not appear to be voltage-, nor frequency-dependent, the degree of recovery from block strongly depended on the potential applied during washout. Interestingly, the degree of wash out was highly variable, ranging from little or no recovery to 55% recovery over a three-minute wash period, and appeared to weakly depend on the holding potential applied during toxin application. Based on these observations, we propose a model in which N-type calcium channels can form both reversible and irreversible complexes with MVIIA.

Police sources said two militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba LeT ; sneaked into the house of Imtiyaz Ahmed last mid-night and reportedly asked him to bring Rs 4 lakh hawala money for them from a "source" in Thanna Mandi. Police said Imtiyaz refused to oblige the militants on the ground that two local youths -Liaquat Ali and Rafakat Ali were recently arrested by the police for bringing hawala money for the militants. Agitated over resistance offered by the youth, the militants slit his throat and killed him. The militants fled away after the killing. Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen shot dead a village head in Kokernag area of Anantnag district tonight. A BSF spokesman said that two militants made an attempt to storm the camp and the troopers foiled it. Both the slain militants could not be identified and the duo was later buried by police at a graveyard in Boniyar, some 35 kilometres from Sopore. No militant group claimed the responsibility for carrying the attack.
