The primary physician's history and physical indicated a palpable aortic abdominal pulse. Results of the sonogram revealed a "large abdominal aortic aneurysm measuring 5.9 cm in maximum diameter below the renal arteries." A CT scan of the abdomen revealed a "large aortic aneurysm measuring approximately 6.2 x 5.6 cm originating below the level of the renal arteries." "A large hematoma in the left psoas muscle region with some fluid in this vicinity is also seen indicating the aneurysm is leaking." The patient was transferred directly to the operating room for an abdominal aneurosectomy with tube graft. The patient's hospital course prior to the discharge was lengthy with multiple medical complications.
